Our Mission
At Tender Tails Lodge , our mission is to provide the highest level of care for your pets while providing peace of mind for their owners. We strive to create a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all pets that enter our lodge.
Our Focus
We at Tender Tails cater to the senior dog population. We want your pet to feel safe and at peace while here and we want you to relax and know your dog is in good hands. We accept dogs ages 6 and over and we welcome dogs with deficits such as blindness, deafness, and mobility issues. Please know that each dog will be shown love and compassion while here and no matter their disability, will have the same amount of outside time and freedom as those pups with no deficits. If your dog feels more comfortable being in a quieter area with less outside time, we can provide that too. Once we get to know the individual needs of your dog and your dog has time to learn to trust us, their stay here will be second best to the very home you provide for them.
If you have also have a younger dog and want to board your pups together, we understand that and can make accommodations on a case by case basis. Please ask us in advance so we can do our best to meet your needs.
Our Experience
After years of running a successful nonprofit rescue that focuses on saving homeless elder and special needs dogs, we decided to extend our love and care to pups that already have loving homes as well. Since we also have the senior dog rescue in place, our experience is heightened for those dogs with medical needs and/or disabilities that typically don’t fare well in a boarding environment. Most older dogs do much better when provided a home like environment with more one on one care available. And let’s not forget the increased need for them to use the bathroom! Tender Tails Lodge offers ALL of that and more for our most special population of dogs. No need to worry about your sweet senior when they’re left in our care.
